Still no go for the licensing. Tried desinstalling + reinstalling multiple times, removing any and all Microsoft crumbs from /Applications, —/Library, /Library etc., using Microsoft_Office_License_Removal_2.7… Everytime, after applying LTSC_2021_VL_Serializer, I get asked to register with a Microsoft account.
Any ideas?

To follow up on my above question, the workaround for me was to install (and patch) v16.54 and then upgrade via the Microsoft Updater to v16.81. Et voilà! A working install….

Do you mind sharing the exact steps? I’m using Sonoma 14.2.1 and did exactly as ‘ef’ mentioned above but still facing the same login issue.

When you install 16.54 i think it will first updat to 16.78 then you’ll get the notification to upgrade. So am i missing something?
Question: Do i need to register with Microsoft?
Looking forward to a reply!

FOR THOSE HAVING ACTIVATION/READ ONLY ISSUES – The work around is to completely remove your old version of Office using an uninstaller such as CleanMyMac, then disable your internet connection. Reboot (leave internet disabled, then run installer, then run serializer, start application one time, then re-enable internet.

Hi Potato,
I followed the steps and it still came up with:
This account cannot be added. The license provided by your work or school does not enable access to Outlook for Mac. Please access your email through Outlook on the web instead.
The version of Office for Mac sets up fine but when you try to connect to your Microsoft-hosted email account it says I have to upgrade to a Business Standard from my current Business Basic.
Any thoughts?
